2nd grade has been learning about paleontologists. Denise Hunter came in to talk about fossils she dug up in Montana. We got to observe pieces of dinosaur bones, buffalo bones, tortoise shells, teeth, and flint. Every student got to take home a chunk of dinosaur bone!

2nd grade is learning about the changes in matter, and Stacey, from Burt Co. Extension Office, taught us how popcorn goes through all 3 states of matter. The students also learned about the kinds of corn, the different parts of a corn plant and the parts of a kernel.
