1931 - Tekamah High School was built while there were several one room country school houses.
1955 - New addition was built onto the high school.
1967 - The new addition for the elementary was done.
1968-1969 - Tekamah and Herman consolidated.
2014 - The proposed $35M bond for a new high school and renovated elementary failed
2016 - Herman elementary closes
2016 - 2018 - Updating to school completed with new windows and doors, air conditioning, sprinkler system as well as several other updates.
2019 - Purchase and renovation of Career Education Center in the old "Ford" building.
Also in 2019, the Board of Education began discussing facility needs of the District and updating its facilities plan on a monthly basis. In October of 2019, a citizens committee was brought in to tour the facilities and make recommendations.
2020 - In March, a special election was held for taxpayers to vote on a $12.5M bond. The bond passed.
2021 - In December, the addition as well as all other bond facility recommendations were complete.
2023 - During the summer, the elementary was updated with new paint and carpeted hallways for a fresh look.
