NHS is selling Pink Out t-shirts as a fundraiser for the Burt County Relay for Life. Our Pink Out game will be the football game Friday, October 6th vs O-C. Attention Patrons: Families with children who live outside of Tekamah and Herman's city limits are entitled to claim the miles to and from the closest school pickup/drop off point. Mileage claims are due on the 5th of every month following the month mileage was accumulated. Late forms will not be accepted. Children attending Tekamah-Herman Schools that are within city limits or option enrolled students are not eligible for the mileage reimbursement program. Hula Hut teamwork game happening in Mr. Boswell's PE class! Their learning focus is teamwork, and this game demonstrates the importance of understanding teamwork. Incredible work by our students!

THS had a special visitor today! Congressman Adrian Smith toured the school. He visited with our Superintendent, Mr. Brad Kjar. Congressman Smith also stopped by the 4th grade class and visited with students as well as Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Braniff.
1st graders are diving in already with high quality math instruction from Mrs. Cass! We are so excited to have our students back!

It’s County Fair time and the grounds are coming together. The elementary fair art is up and ready! Make sure to check out the Expo Barn during the fair to see art from our outstanding elementary students.
We want to take a minute to congratulate our retirees this year as well as recognize those who continue to give their all to our students! Retiring from THS are Superintendent, Dan Gross who also marks his 30th year here at Tekamah-Herman, along with educators Margaret Carlson, Janelle Ray and Lisa Zabel (not pictured). Congratulations to all on your retirement!

These students received our annual Citizenship Award this morning. One student from each Elementary class wins this award each year. They are consistently in attendance, highly motivated, model integrity, maintain a positive attitude and show kindness to others. Great job!
